Our (not so little) Liver Baby
When Hudson was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, our family was born into the transplant community. While being part of this community provides comfort and support, it also exposes us to tragedy and heartbreak.
I have spent the past few months attempting to balance grief, guilt and gratitude. I am approaching our transplant anniversary this year with immense gratitude. We partnered with the Liver Baby Foundation this year to help raise funds for children and families all over the U.S. on their transplant journey.
Established in 2017 by a liver family in California, the LBF has provided financial assistance to dozens of liver transplant children and families.
To help show our gratitude for the past 2 years, we will be fundraising for the Liver Baby Foundation until Monday July 15th. During this time, we will be sharing stories of children helped by the LBF to help demonstrate the amazing impact this organization has.
